I don’t know if this will ever make to our side of “the pond,” but the BBC has a show called That’ll Teach ‘Em where 30 16-year-olds are put through a re-creation of a 1950s state grammer boarding school.
These students were supposedly the cream of their crop…but the majority of them didn’t succeed that well. They were not used to the exercise (being forced to do cross-country runs), the food “the tapioca pudding and its slimy oscillations”, and the hyperenforcement of rules and regulations.
It almost seems like a perverted from of Survivor!
